SEPTEMBER PROMISES: Mid Wales Arts, Caersws
Poetry Live StreamAT LAST, THE RETURN OF LIVE POETRY!

Many of us have been enjoying on-line poetry events during lockdown, but we've been missing that certain something you get from the live experience of being in a space with people sharing emotions and conversation. We have a fantastic line-up of headline and guest poets ready to perform in the airy space of our sculpture barn.

Our headline poets Glyn Edwards, Kate Garrett and Chris Kinsey come with many publications and accolades to their names so we are in for an eclectic and stimulating afternoon. They will read and take part in Q&A hosted by Pat Edwards. We will also hear from guest poets Jen Hawkins, recently published in Prole Magazine, and award-winning Ben Gwalchmai.

MUSICAL TALENT OF CAERSWS

Locally based American born singer songwriter Jeb Loy Nichols' latest album was voted best new album of 2020 by BBC Radio. His music combines elements of soul, country, folk, reggae and blues. He will be performing new material from his latest album and EP, as well as some old favourites.

“The high priest of country cool.” (Rolling Stone)

Joining him will be talented young musicians Abi Foster and Clovis Phillips both from Mochdre, Newtown making this a celebration of the musical talent alive in the hills around Caersws.
